Searching
Type a keyword or phrase into the search box, choose a field and select Search. Search ignores letter case.
Several words are read together: a record is listed only when it contains every word you enter. A partial word is often enough, so admin finds Administrative law.
The Documents and Journals tabs change the scope. Documents is for a document-level query; Journals finds a title directly.
Search fields
| Field | Where it looks |
|---|---|
| Article title, Abstract, Keywords | The default field for a document search. |
| All fields | Searches the whole record. |
| Article title | Restricts the term to the title. |
| Abstract | Restricts the term to the abstract. |
| Keywords | Restricts the term to keywords. |
| Author | Restricts the term to author names. |
| Affiliation | Restricts the term to author affiliations. |

The directory lists journal titles. A title opens the journal's own site at acta.lawsc.org, where the journal's records are maintained.
Adding fields
Choose Add search field to add a second or third row. The terms in all rows are combined into one query, and every term must match.
Search history
Every search you run is listed on the home page under Search history. History is stored in this browser only. Use Clear to remove it.
Browsing journals
The Journals page lists all twelve titles in four subject groups. Use the tabs to filter by subject, and the filter box to find a title or abbreviation. Press Esc in the filter box to clear it.
Reading a journal
Select a journal title or Open journal to leave the library for the journal's site. The browser's Back button returns you to the collection.
Language
Every page is available in English and Simplified Chinese. The switch in the header opens the same page in the other language.
Accessibility
Pages use landmarks and a skip link, and every control can be reached with the keyboard. Focus is visible, colour is not the only signal, and the layout reflows on small screens. The site respects the reduced-motion setting.
Questions
Why does a search return no titles?
Try a shorter term or another field, or browse the journal directory. Titles are matched by name, abbreviation and subject area.
Can I search inside articles here?
The library links each title to its journal site at acta.lawsc.org, where the journal's own search and contents are available.
Do I need an account?
No. The library has no accounts, sign-in or newsletter.
Is my search history sent anywhere?
No. History stays in this browser and can be cleared at any time.
